Zoned... Out!

Drifting. Just drifting along. My mind is mostly blank these days. I can't plan and I can't think. I don't know what's going on or what's going to happen. I am in another world. Time is passing by so quickly. Things change before I can make my move.

Hum Paanch!

It all started on a rainy day. Chutku came in with one puppy. She was crying. We didn't know how many puppies she had delivered then. And looking at the way she behaved we knew we had to search for the rest. So PC and I went to look out for the other puppies in the rain. Lo and Behold! there they were in the drain being swept away by the strong currents of the rain water. We managed to save 4 of them. So in all there were 5 puppies. They looked like rats! Soon they became a part of our lives. PC and I would come home and play with them, watch them. It felt so good to see five tails wagging when u entered the gates :) We tried not to get too attached to them. You see they are street dogs and will soon go their ways. But every time, any one of them went missing PC and I would be worried sick and search the whole neighbourhood.

We lost Stripey too soon. Stripey died due to shock after seeing a bike screech in front of it. We were helpless! Stripey was too small. And we watched him take his last breath. Soon Freddie followed (the black one with white). We don't know the real cause of death but PC and I think it was due to food poisoning. Sasha (the one a white snout and black body and brown eye patch) has been missing. We haven't been able to track him and suspect it is the same kid who tried to steal Sasha last time.

A few days back Raven a.k.a Chota (the black one with brownish ears) had an accident and has both his front legs fractured. We are taking care of him and so is Sugar (the brown one). Sugar sits with Raven the whole day and night. He never lets Raven out of his sight. He licks Raven's paws and in a way tells him everything will be alright. It's really quite amazing to see both of them. They are quite adorable. Sugar snuggles next to Raven everytime they sleep. I love to watch them play and often land up joining them while they play. They are so loving!! They keep jumping up and down trying to get a hold of anything that's on you :)

It's going to be really difficult to leave them and go.  :( I do pray that they stay safe.

Look what I got!

Look what I got from PC!! I love tea light candles, lanters, lamps, twinklee lights basically most things that give light. ha ha! So PC has given me the perfect gift. It's a tea light holder which is like shaped like a hot air balloon and it hangs!! It's Super Awesome. I can't tell you how excited I was when I got this and when I lit this up!! Thanks PC! Hugs.

30 only!

I turn 30 today. 3-0, thirty!! Oh My! This morning as I was answering calls and everyone was reminding me of my age I was like Whoaaa.. I never thought I will be 30 some day! I mean all the bhaiyas and didis were in their 30s, not Me!! I don't even feel old. But here I am.
It's supposed to be a big deal stepping into the 30s from your 20s just like how it is when you turn 13 after 12. I am supposed to be more mature and responsible and taken more seriously (heh heh). Lets see how things develop in the next 365 days and see if things change and I start feeling all of the above.
Oh yes and to mark this day I have got my highlights on my hair. I have never ever done anything to my hair except cut it and that too mostly on my birthdays! That says a lot about me, doesn't it! Anywhoo, they look a bit tacky! But who cares, I can do whatever I want. I am 30!!!

Wish List

I want a new camera. Preferably a DSLR. I feel its time I graduate from my point and shoot. My camera has been super special, traveling with me in all my journeys. Its a Sony DSC-W150. A simple point and shoot but could do a lot more. I believe this model was discontinued :(  I love it.
But now I want something more. I feel terrible when I see some people who don't know half the things their DSLRs can do. Not that I know much but then I see their pictures and I feel bad. So mean no! But still I feel its such a waste when a good camera is in the wrong hands :p
It might take a while for me to own one. Hope it's worth a wait!

I can DIM (Do it Myself)

Things have been pretty hectic. I keep thinking of posting and well, I don't. In the past week I did do a bit of DIY and fixed the curtains. They are now of the correct length. Previously they were longer than the door :p

So after getting super duper excited about the fact that I can still do some things myself I have decided to do some more things. But not really decided what. I have been contemplating on making a chalkboard. But haven's had the enthu yet to go to the hardware store. I also have to get a carpenter to make me my full length mirror! And I have an idea to revamp our living room. Its so boring! Let's see how much of all this I complete in the next one month.

Next month is my birthday. And yes I am still excited about my birthday.

Little place in Panjim

These are a few more photos taken at the cafe we went to in Panjim. I don't remember the name of the place. The first one is taken by PC and that's me!!! The rest are just random shots. I loved the shrimp spaghetti here :) This place was really comfy with writing on all the walls! The last picture is of the entrance of the cafe. So if you come across this cafe, you should definitely go in!

Honeymoon Travels

Hello,

I am back and yes the wedding was awesome. 

We had gone to Goa for our honeymoon :D. This post is mostly about the structures we saw in Old Goa. Old Goa was beautiful. The churches were just awesome. I couldn't take too many snaps of Old Goa because I was sunburnt and going a bit coo-coo that day. :( so when I finally uploaded the pictures I realized I had very few. Sad.

We had gone to Panjim, to one of its many small streets. I have forgotten what the street was called but it had a lot of government offices. And it had the cutest restaurants and hotels! It was so pretty!

Next time I post, my status would have changed to "Married" in most places!! Ha ha ha! Am off tomorrow to Imphal and then later to Calcutta. I am very excited. It's still not sunk in that it is MY wedding! Whoaaa.

Shaadi ke Ladoo

This is it! I am getting married in 22 days! It's finally about to happen! My heart is pounding and I am going crazy fussing about details. In spite of planning over the past 18 years or so about how my wedding will be, things are just different. Somehow, in the planning I had missed out so many details, for example, people! As in, I always envisioned how I will be and what people in my Plan would say and do and how they all would also want exactly the same things as me! But that was my Dream/Plan. In reality it doesn't work that way. And that's okay.

I am so excited! I have no idea how it will be. Of course I know the ceremony and what is supposed to happen but I don't know what will eventually happen and that totally excites me! I go on my long trips of day dreaming thinking about how it's going to be. I think of the things that people will say to me and how I will respond. It just is so awesome!! I am being pampered by my family as usual but now even more! I am loving it!

There are a few disappointments. T can't come. And she was in a major chunk of my Plans. She can't come now due to reasons that only bring a smile on my face. A lot of my close friends can't make it too due to the wedding being on a weekday. At first I was angry and upset but now I am trying to accept the fact that money and time are important factors in everyone's life. Fact of life. But I am glad some of them are coming and rejoicing in the fact that I will get to meet some of my friends after ages!! So happy :D

I don't know exactly how I am feeling other than just excitement.

Bundle of Joy

May 3rd, 2012. : I am so happy! We have an addition to our family, a little angel, Baby. And we all have fallen in love with her hopelessly. May God Bless her!
I am just waiting for my chance to hold her which might not happen for the next couple of month. So till then I will see her and talk to her and feel her through the numerous phone calls and video chats :D

Some Pictures- But not of the challenge

Went to Mysore a couple of weeks back. We weren't sure whether we will get to see the Sound and Light Show at the Mysore Palace but Voila! we got the tickets!!! yay! It was amazing. The lights and the sounds, everything!!! But I don't think a lot of kids enjoyed the show because I heard many kids crying. I guess it was the booming sound and the roar of the rakshasha.
So here are a few pictures of the Mysore Palace during the Sound and Light Show.

I am getting hopeless at this. I haven't kept up with the challenge and its just horrible.
So, instead of taking some new photos I landed up choosing from old ones. Forgive me.

A fave photo of me. Its old but I like it. Brings back a lot of good memories. This was a time when most of my photographs had the same impression.. heh heh.

I have just been so busy that I lost track :(

Time: 11:26 AM .. feel hungry almost everyday around this time :)

Drink: Water. The bottle is empty most of the time. Its over before I know it!

Something I hate to do: Wash clothes and then fold them. It really is a pain.

Handwriting: Couldn't find a single place where I might have written something. Everything is so electronic these days. I even forgot what my handwriting looks like!
